Stephen Moses has been complimented as a “class act” according to a senior member of the judiciary in front of whom he has appeared most recently for the last 10 months. He “steps effortlessly into his Leaders’ shoes” whenever called upon.

Stephen has also appeared in recent years as a leading junior in several large scale fraud, money laundering and drugs conspiracies.

He has developed a “first class criminal practice” and has regularly been instructed on numerous large scale and high profile cases at the Central Criminal Court and beyond. Stephen has conducted trials concerning murder, armed robbery, human trafficking, large scale drug importations, serious fraud, money laundering, rape and other sexual offences and asset forfeiture.

Stephen has regularly appeared successfully on appeals against both conviction and/or sentence in the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division). On a number of occasions he has been instructed on criminal appeals to advise on the merits of “old” convictions where there is “new evidence”.

His impressive recent highlights include a £62 million cocaine importation, a contract killing said to have been ordered by his client, the famed “Hard Bastard” Victor DARK, attempted theft of £1.5 million whilst endangering the safety of an aircraft, rape of an autistic child, a series of historic familial sexual assaults, a large-scale carousel fraud, a Trident murder and conspiracy to rob £1.75 million from Heathrow Airport.

Stephen is presently representing the first defendant described as the “Mastermind” in the much publicised conspiracy to rob Securitas in Tonbridge of £53 million - the largest cash robbery in history. He is also instructed to defend in the Mitcham Common murder (“Jogger in the Park”) in the autumn of this year at the Central Criminal Court.

Stephen is a member of the South Eastern Circuit and the Criminal Bar Association.
