R v Watson (2002)
Defended in an 8-week gangland shooting case appearing for the main defendant.

R v Blankson (2000)
The Hungerford Bridge Murder at the Central Criminal Court. Stephen Leslie
acted on behalf of the only female defendant. This was a high profile case that
ended up in the Court of Appeal and was reported in 2001.
R v Wilkins (1998)
At the Central Criminal Court. This was the first acquittal in an SFO case
since Maxwell. The case included extensive video link cross-examination with a
number of witnesses in the USA.

case concerning alleged Kurdish/Turkish terrorism.

Defended the principal and first defendant in the first ever VAT fraud (gold)
at the Central Criminal Court.
R v Goodwin (1982)
A high profile series of cases involving the most wanted burglar of high value
premises in the country, which involved police corruption (three policemen were
charged after Stephen Leslie’s cross examination).

A major Customs & Excise VAT carousel fraud. Involved a seven-month trial
in the Kingston

R v Longson
An important Customs & Excise MTEC carousel fraud. This was heard in the
Manchester CC and lasted 2-3 months.
R v Pound
A vast SFO prosecution involving architects, accountants, trusts funds and
banks and a £19 million property development. Stephen Leslie acted, leading two
juniors, for the first and main defendant. The case ran for 15 months at the
Winchester CC.

Acting for the first defendant in a major international drugs case involving
the financing of the import of drugs from Columbia
and major distribution. This ran for 12 months at the Winchester CC.
